Hey Chris Matthews, Tom Brokaw and yes...even you my darling Keith: SNAP!
Time to wipe the egg off your sorry faces. Time to admit that you are more often concerned with job security than political analysis.
Time to admit that indeed, the world does not revolve around you and your personal pet peeve. Time to remember, as you so often remind the politicians, "these things are recorded". So no matter how many times you show a truncated and biased news clip...someone somewhere has the 'real deal' and thanks to the 'internets' it takes all of two seconds to find.

Gutless, clueless, spineless, not worth the effort it took to drive to the firehouse in the pouring rain to vote for your SORRY asses: yeah I AM talking to you. A note worth remembering: We "brought you into the political world - we can surely take you out."

Fascism...such a nasty word. Considering the fact that I
and several thousand other Americans have been calling
George W. Bush and his minions fascists for approximately six years now it should have come as no surprise that eventually the tables would turn.

"We are not only defending our rights, we are defending the rights of many other countries. By maintaining our position, we are defending our independence."
Who said that? Well, if you guessed George W. Bush, I wouldn’t blame you. It sounds positively Rovian, doesn’t it? But if you’ve been keeping up with current events, you might have correctly answered Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

I would like to thank the following Democratic Senators.
We now know exactly where they stand and it is far to the right of the Democratic Party and it's philosophy. Please turn in your "Supporter of Freedom and Justice For All" cards and line up on the right. And you might as well change your party affiliation right now and save us the trouble of doing it for you next time you are up for re-election.

Senators are doing the obligatory "tour of devastation" and clucking their collective tongues on cable news. Environmental journalists are filing Freedom of Information requests and screaming that the EPA is withholding information. Mayor Ray Nagin has swallowed the "this is America and all we have to do is get the business district open and everything will be fine" pill that the Bush Administration doles out like candy to anyone desperate or greedy enough to want it.

In August of 2004 President Bush approved federal assistance for Hurricane Charley approximately
one hour after the storm made landfall. National Guard units, teams of rescuers moved into the affected areas with 11 truckloads of water and 14 truckloads of ice within a day.
Supplies and personnel were prepositioned before Charley hit to the tune of 4,000 National Guardsmen.

I really have only one thing to say concerning the trouncing your "Clear Skies" bill took today, Mr. President.
Ha. Ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha, HA!Today, the Environment and Public Works Committee failed to get the majority required to recommend President Bush's "Clear Skies" bill to the full Senate.
Although the no-go vote doesn't stop the GOP leaders from scheduling the bill anyway - it will make it much harder for them to pass it.

In an unorthodox political move that is sure to disrupt the Democratic bid for the presidency, sources close to the Waving Alien political staff have confirmed that Ralph Nader has been promised considerable support from the republican party. An unnamed high level republican was quoted as saying in his trademark, ten syllable sentences, "We have to make the people understand, uh, that Ralph Nader is not an evil man..."

Imagine if Saddam Hussein was a nice guy. He could have been one of the most important, influential human beings on the planet. Iraq has the second largest oil reserve in the world, (112 billion barrels). What is it about money that seems to corrupt everyone? How could a person possibly need (or want) a billion dollars? Or half that? I think there's something in the ink that money is printed with that affects the mind...

Will somebody please wake up Saddam Hussein? Even Hitler knew when it was time to pull the plug, so that whole mad crazy excuse only goes so far. Iraqi TV shows Saddam walking among cheering throngs, reports that Iraq is defeating the infidels, and then asks for volunteers to drive an old Volvo full of C2 into nearest column of infidel tanks. You can’t miss them! I guess it’s true. Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt. Maybe I’m being too linear, but this whole martyrdom strategy just seems counterintuitive.

Normally the political pieces I write for Waving Alien show up in the Alternative Views section. I didn't vote for G-dub and I can honestly say that there has not been one national or foreign policy initiative presented by his administration before and after 9/11 that has not raised my blood pressure to dangerous levels and that includes the invasion of Afghanistan. (I have this thing about utilizing death and destruction as a means of problem solving...).

A peaceful resolution with Iraq can only be realized if the UN inspections are given the time and support needed to do the job.
The Bush Administration seems bound and determined to make sure that does not happen. You can make a difference. You can influence the course of events.
It was public pressure that forced the Administration to go to the UN and public pressure can insure that the United States does not invade Iraq.

President Bush went before the U.N. today to make his case against Iraq. Rather than rely on a talking head to tell you what to think: read the speech and make up your own mind.
