Star Mother

Originally Star Mother was posted backed in January of this year. Apparently I wasn't really finished with the poem or maybe the poem wasn't finished with me.

So, here it is - for now at least. Enjoy.

I listen to

Sleeps murmuring.

Blue winter sky surrenders

As shadowlight

Gently breathes the hour,

Deep blessed dreams

Dance through the dark.

Tell me,

Star Mother.

Will you remember

Your Earth Song?

As they hurry after

Sleeps dark hour.

As breath surrenders gently,

I leave this blessed earth.

Feel my love dance through

Moons shadowlight.

Listen to the murmuring wind.

I Am There.

Tell me, dreaming child.

Will you remember Star Mother's Song?

Sleeps hour vanishes

As father and I wander

Winter's dark dreams.

Gently you surrender the moment

Leaving behind the Earth Song

That was

Ours alone.

Tell me, Star Mother.

Will we again sing together?

I wander through Winter's dark hour

Remembering love's dream.

Years gently vanish

Dancing through time.

Your sleep falls deeper into moonlight.

You surrender to the song.

Tell me, Star Lover.

Will you remember my kiss?

As my dreams curve

Gently through time,

Find me in Spring's dancing rain

In Summer's morning sun,

In the moon sky of Autumn,

In Winter's dark hour.

My song will dance through

Your moments,

Wander through your lives.

Listen

My lover, my children.

Our family is love's

Gentle dream.
